The author-year system for the cited references (max 5 positions in the one place) should be used in the text.

The literature cited will be listed in alphabetical order. The list will include only the references cited in the text of various sections mentioned before. Do not list abstracts (e.g. of conference proceedings, posters etc.) or unpublished manuscripts.

 In-text citations:

All citations in the text should refer to:

 1.      Parenthetical citation: (Author A et al., Year)

 2.      Narrative citation: Author A et al. (Year)

 3.      Citation without authors (reports, laws, standards, strategies etc.) shall be quoted as text (***, Year),

 Examples: “as demonstrated (Allan, 2019a, 2019b; Allan and Jones, 2020). Kramer et al. (2022) have recently shown ....”, (***, 2021; ***, 2022a; ***, 2022b).

 Citing a journal article:

Author's last name, first intial. Year of Publication. Title of article. Title of journal. [Online] Volume number (issue number), Page numbers. Retrieved from URL of the article or name of database. [Access date].

  Example:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B., Author, C. C. Year. Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume number (issue number), pages. https://doi.org/xx.xxx/yyyy

 Citing a book:

Author's last name, first intial. Year of Publication. Title of book. Place of publication, publisher, Page(s) used pp. 3-7 or No of book pages 350 p.

Example:

Author A. A, Author B. Year. Soil contamination in landfill. McGraw-Hill, New York., 350

Citing a chapter book

Author A. A., Author B. B. Year. Title of chapter: Subtitle. In A. Editor & B. Editor (Eds.), Title of book: Subtitle (edition*, pages of chapter). Publisher. DOI or URL (if electronic)

If there are no named editors (but the chapters are still individually authored), exclude that part of the pattern:

Author A. A., & Author B. B. Year. Title of chapter: Subtitle. In Title of book: Subtitle (edition*, pages of chapter). Publisher. DOI or URL (if electronic)

*if not the first edition - do not include edition information for first editions.

  Example:

Le Couteur D., Kendig H., Naganathan V., McLachlan A. 2010. The ethics of prescribing medications to older people. In S. Koch, F. M. Gloth & R. Nay (Eds.), Medication management in older adults (pp. 29-42). Springer. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-1-60327-457-9_3

Abbreviate a page number range (like a chapter in an edited book) as pp. Examples: pp. 54-60 or pp. 90, 95-103. Use a single p. for a single page (for newspaper articles, etc.) pages.

Example: page used p.12; pp.23-75 or no of pages 350p.

URL: for ease of formatting, break a URL that goes to another line after a slash, or before a period.

Vol., issue, and pages may not always be available on Internet sources. If they are not used, the name of the journal is all that can be provided in the reference list.

Reference list: References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters ‘a’, ‘b’, ‘c’, etc., placed after the year of publication.

The bibliography will not be numbered, each citation will be a paragraph style hanging (hanging) to 1.27 cm, 1 row spacing, without spaces before or after paragraphs.

Tables and figures: should be inserted in the text (usually there where there is referenced in the text). Illustrations (figures) and tables should not be of excessive dimensions. In case that the illustrations or tables are wider than the page width, they should be rotated with 90° to left. Never repeat the same material in figures (e.g. charts) and tables; when either is equally clear a figure is preferable. Illustrations should have sufficient contrast to be legible after it is photo reduced to an image width proper to the available space. Symbols and lettering of figures should be clearly legible (Arial CE font types of size 10 or similar sized symbols and letters should be used in figures). Number the figures and tables consecutively and provide a short title at the left side of the top of each figure or table. Before the title leave two rows without text.

Title should be typed with Bold style fonts. In case if it necessary explanatory note will follow the table or figure. Illustrations and tables should be referenced in the text by using their number, e.g.

Table 1 or Figure 1 (in parenthesis or not).

Symbols, units, and abbreviations - If symbols are used add them using the Symbol menu of Word. Degree symbols (°) must be used from the Symbol menu, not superscripted letter o or number 0. Multiplication symbols must be used (×), not the letter x. Spaces must be inserted between numbers and units (e.g., 20 kg) and between numbers and mathematical symbols (+, –, ×, =, <, >), but not between numbers and percent symbols (e.g., 45%). Please use SI units. All abbreviations and acronyms should be defined at first mention.
